HARDENBERG – The upcoming edition of the trade fair Dutch Poultry Expo, which was planned for 17 and 18 March 2020 in Evenementenhal Hardenberg, is being postponed to 9 and 10 June 2020 because of the coronavirus. ‘In coordination with exhibitors and partners we have decided to hold Dutch Poultry Expo at a later moment this year. We believe that at present it would be societally irresponsible to hold a trade fair of the poultry sector. A gathering of this scope increases the risk of spreading in this specific branch. Our Advisory Council unanimously supports moving the event, says Lucas van’t Hof, Head of Agriculture of Easyfairs.
Even though the Dutch government has not yet imposed any limitations or additional measures for holding fairs and events of this size, Easyfairs has nonetheless decided to reschedule Dutch Poultry Expo. Van’t Hof: ‘We are all affected by the coronavirus. Given the unpredictability and inevitability of this virus, which is not within the control of Easyfairs, we have decided to specifically postpone the Dutch Poultry Expo event. The risk of infection is too high for our exhibitors and visitors in the poultry sector, and it imperils the care for the animals. Postponement of the event is supported by our partners and the poultry sector.’
The second edition of Dutch Poultry Expo is being moved to Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 June 2020. The location will still be Evenementenhal Hardenberg, and the opening times and map of the trade fair will remain the same. This means that the hours for these new dates of Dutch Poultry Expo are also from 2 PM to 10 PM.
At this point the decision to postpone Dutch Poultry Expo has no consequences for other fairs or events of organiser Easyfairs.
